Whether it's your first time or your seventh time, writing a novella in 12 weeks isn't easy. As a 2021 ONC Winner and two-time Honorable Mention (2023/2024), I totally understand. After years of participation and reflection, I have lots of advice to share on how I wrote a winning novella and look forward to writing every year. Inside this guide, you can find everything from insider tips to craft chats to contest commentary. So grab a cup, get your notebook, and settle in: it's time to start writing! To keep myself from losing track of: all the 2026 contests I've entered, all the 2026 contests I've volunteered myself as a judge (or let myself be volun-told into judging), all the 2026 books I've had to read as a contestant or as a judge, all the 2026 deadlines, and all the other important stuff, here is a book that registers all these 2026 things in a somewhat organized fashion. With occasional commentary. For the record, I am not Lady Whistledown, and I do not have all the gossip of the ton. Nota bene: Although other people are welcome to browse my public contest logs and look for contests, look for information about details of contests (i.e. you want me to pour you some tea), etc, these contest logs are primarily for my own use. I enter so many contests that I can't keep track of them without a log. I forget important details, too, including things like "Note to self: You do not get along with this contest host, best not participate in their contests." Like my 2024 and 2025 contest logs, this journal was never meant to be an "expose" book. I'm not exposing anybody. Contests are matters of public record, as are any comments made in the contest books. I'm just a ditz who needs a written log to keep track of everything. I would lose my head if it hadn't been attached to my shoulders. I DO NOT CONSENT TO MY POETRY AND PROSE BEING USED TO TRAIN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Just a compilation of random poems I write. Most of them are rather sad or dramatic, so warning for that. There are mentions of suicide, or at least the idea of it, in a couple poems that will be added. These poems came from the depths of my heart and brain, and they each mean a significant amount to me. So, I hope you all enjoy these, or at least connect with them! <3 I should be updating everyday or every other day, give or take, unless I get writers block. - Me

day to day life as a senior... in college. These are real stories, as I am using this Wattpad as a way to rant. I have always loved to write, as I have a personal diary, but this seemed like a fun way to share those thoughts with the world. Of course, my identity and the characters are protected, so sorry, but hopefully you can find yourself in these diary notes too and enjoy my day-to-day drama. Enjoy :)

Welcome! I'm a beta reader and book editor. This story shows common plot mistakes and how to fix them. Authors, feel free to DM me if you want feedback on your work. I thought finishing my first draft meant success. I even celebrated with ice cream. Then my beta reader started reading. "Wait... why does your hero disappear for three chapters?" "And didn't you say the villain was scared of fire? Why is he lighting a bonfire?" That's when I realized: every manuscript needs a fresh pair of eyes before publishing. Beta readers are like story detectives. We notice pacing issues, inconsistent characters, and plot holes, the things you might not even see in your own manuscript. If you're a writer working on your first draft or looking to polish your story, I'd be happy to beta read your first chapter for free. DM me and let's make your story shine

Have you ever missed an opportunity and told yourself, "Maybe it just wasn't meant for me? Or convinced yourself into believing that it wasn't your turn yet? How many times have you stood on the sidelines, dreaming, wishing, watching others move forward simply waiting for your turn? Most people believe luck is a birthright; that some people are simply born with a silver spoon while others are destined to struggle. But what if that belief is the very thing holding you back? This book is not for those who are comfortable making excuses but for those who are ready to learn, to grow and to take ownership of their outcomes. There are no such thing as when the time is right, there is only action. Through real-life stories and practical insight, you will discover how missed opportunities are often not the result of fate.
