How the skeksis, The Heretic, came to be. A prequel to the Age of Resistance.

In an unrealized take on the continuance of Netflix's The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, we see Rian and Deet continue to unite the Gelfling Clans against the Skeksis in a war to unite the Crystal Shard to the Dark Crystal and defeat the Skeksis. This story will aim to make sense an end to the Age of Resistance to the beginning of the story as we know it in The Dark Crystal. I hope you enjoy the story.

I recently came across some interesting Dark Crystal fanfiction (seriously, I want to know where some of you get these ideas) and decided there simply wasn't enough of it in this world. Here's my contribution. Note: while this is a parody, I am not trying to make fun of anyone specifically. Writing, self expression, and creativity should always be encouraged and enjoyed, this is just me recognising common themes and popular tropes and having a bit of fun with them.

I know I have other stories but my imagination goes wild sometimes so deal with it I'll do what I want! But anyway I been wanting to do a hopefully short story on the Dark Crystal Age Of Resistance for a while. And I hope to add two of my own OCs in the story as well so enjoy what I have so far. Set two years before the events of Age of Resistance, this tale centers around Tavra & Onica's adventures with Sifan captain, Athyra. A strong, beautiful, weathered Gelfling, full of charm and sledgehammer wit. After fleeing from her Vapran roots, she was taken in by the Sifa at a young age and is now captain of a samaudren, leading a band of haggard pirates who are about to set sail on a heroic quest. But first, she needs a strong warrior and a fardreamer. When Onica catches word of this, she sends for Tavra to join her on this adventure. Yet in the shadows of the seas, a secret revolution whispers, and both may soon find themselves in the middle of a world far too large. This series will release in Acts, with each section being around 3500 words. One new piece of the story will release every month!

A Dark Crystal Fan Fiction that takes place during the events of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. I do not own the rights to any of the characters this is a tribute. These short stories are about the Mystics during the Age of Resistance.

Cova, a gelfling adopted by the omen of death aka a skeksis called "the reaper", gets into some trouble with a few Vapras, noble vapras. Instead of turning him to the all maudra for his apparent "crimes", the grumpy, non social stonewood gelfling is assigned with a task; to find the noble gelfing's daughter and to bring her back home. Once on this mission, Cova soon ends up finding the noble gelfling's daughter, Vanya. But something is severely wrong with her. To Cova's horror and (slight) annoyance, Vanya has been infected with the darkening, which has effected her to the extent where she has moments of insanity. After hearing Vanya quietly sing a lullaby to herself one night on their way back to the mountain village, Cova realizes they must seek out Mother Aughra, a myth according to every single gelfling, in order save Vanya from the darkening. The absolute worst part about this mission is the fact that the other Skeksies are becoming apparent of Cova's shenanigans and start hunting for him, to avoid a full out war and losing control of the Gelflings. This is set in the world of The Dark Crystal. However, I'm just going to ignore the rebellion for now I only own my ocs (Cova, Vanya, The Reaper etc) and the rest belong to the Jim Henson Company

This my thoughts and opinions on the new series of The Dark Crystal I will also make my own predictions on what will happen next. This also may contain spoilers, if you have not seen the series please go watch it and don't read this you have been warned. I don't own the photo I used as the cover all rights go to the owners.
