She is back. Maine is back. It took her four years to be brave enough and right now, she wants nothing but Alden's forgiveness. And she has no plan on backing out now to do everything to have him back... even as a friend... even if it hurts. She is back. Maine is back. And it took Alden four years to convince himself that he is waiting for no one, and he wants nothing but to stay that way. This is in AU (Alternate Universe) fanfiction. And just like my previous 'short story', I need to make them older to make them more mature.

This fic is a companion work to my other story, "Hello, Richard." Since there is no narration to the events in that story, this fic hopes to flesh out the implied happenings in the chapters there . Please read "Hello, Richard" first before this one. Otherwise, the story might not make full sense to you. First of all, THIS IS NOT AN ORIGINAL WORK OF MINE. The original story was written by one of my favorite fan fiction author, yagami_kaito (in AFF). I just want you guys to know that I asked for her permission to adapt her story from her original set of characters to my own set of characters, and she was cool with it. This is not your typical, written-based-on-true-happenings and such. Just imagine it as an alternate universe wherein Alden and Maine are not the Alden and Maine that we know and love. --- Richard Faulkerson Jr. and Nicomaine Dei Mendoza ended up with marriage after she was accidentally pregnant on the night of their best friend's wedding. Shocked by the news, it made her accept the wedding proposal Alden had offered. Despite all the sweet gestures and loving care throughout their marriage, she can't help but feel regretful. She doesn't love him and she doubt he does. Their only concern was their three months old daughter that sometimes she refuses to think as her own. She was a mistake and will remain that way. Written in Alden's point of view, the story tells us about their married life-about hatred, sorrow, angst, happiness, and of course, LOVE.

Inspired by the song of Ed Sheeran 'Happier'. This song has been stuck with me since I first heard it. After five years, Richard found himself unable to give up his career while Maine wanted to live a normal life.

What if Destined to be Yours was not rated PG? This started as one story for #HarotFridays Amacon challenge and has now grown into a collection of one-shots. Stories are not chronological. They may also be illogical. Not all are SPG.

"You silly, silly girl," a voice whispered close to my ear. And as I tried to open my eyes to look at my rescuer, I felt a soft kiss on my forehead. "W-who are y-you?" I stuttered, the cold making me shiver uncontrollably as I asked my rescuer quietly before completely succumbing to darkness. The only thing I would remember before the darkness totally got to me would be my rescuer's eyes. Those bright, golden eyes I'd never seen on anyone.

DISCLAIMER: I initially wrote a poem with the same title, as you can see in my profile here. So, I finally gave in and decided to turn this into a story, which I originally wanted to do. It's been a while since I last wrote a fan fic. Hopefully, I can finish this one. The characters featured in this story are based on real people and situations. I had to change certain circumstances to make it fit the story. This is dedicated to two people, who have become my source of happiness for the past 10 months. I am one of those who will fervently pray for your careers to soar higher and for a love that will bind you both forever. Stay happy and in love, Richard and Nicomaine!
