Good morning, I'm Kalliope Aoidós (yes, spelled like this: Καλλιόπη Ἀοιδός... pretty impressive, right?), Technical Account Manager at a company in... well, I'm sure you don't really need my CV for this. Let's try again. Hey, I'm Kalliope Aoidós, and I've got a little problem. Okay, more like an incurable, family-heritage problem. Technically, it's genetic-something my family has been conveniently passing down for centuries. One of my great-great-great-great-grandparents thought it was totally appropriate to insult his muse, calling her a "good-for-nothing" and a "sellout." How charming, right? Too bad that muse was THE Muse after whom I'm named. Apparently, she's not exactly the warm and fuzzy type. So why on earth do I have the honor of carrying the name of the one who cursed my entire family tree? Oh, that was my grandmother's brilliant idea. In a way, they "sacrificed" me to her by giving me her name, hoping it would change her mind about the curse. Spoiler alert: It didn't. So here I am, just like hundreds of my ancestors, stuck in the same lovely swamp. I'm a Book Jumper or, as my grandmother (who has a flair for dramatic epithets) likes to call me, a βιβλιοποδητής, which basically means "walker of books." And these are my stories. Or, more accurately, my delightful misadventures. All rights to the original characters, setting, and source material belong to their respective copyright holders. Forever? ***

Fueled by courage from starting her life over in a new place and her newfound whimsy, she decided to compliment a stranger at a red light. Instead of sticking with her original plan when she rolled down her window, she told a stranger with the most beautiful azure eyes she had ever seen that they should break up. The catch? They've never even met. Confused and amused, the mysterious guy refused to break up with her. One red light led to another, and in between, they bantered like an old couple who had been arguing for years instead of two complete strangers who don't even know each other's names. Eventually, the light turned green for the last time, sending them off in opposite directions. She told herself it was nothing more than a ridiculous little encounter, one she'll probably never experience again. But what if fate puts them together in one room? Maybe the best love stories begin with a spontaneous breakup, with nothing but the stop lights and the impatient honking of the cars behind them to bear witness. And maybe Red Light Romeo and Juliet with places to be aren't quite done with each other yet.

there is no single ever after. there are as many as there are ways for a story to continue. ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ once, the world was full of enchantments. dragons slept beneath mountains. fairies hid wishes in flower petals. witches kept moonlight in little glass bottles. princes rode beyond their kingdoms looking for something they could not name. and somewhere, always, someone was waiting for someone else. perhaps that is what all the old magic was trying to teach us. that the greatest enchantment is not finding the person written into your destiny. it is finding them, and writing the rest of the story together.

{🏆🥈Versification 2026 Grand Daily Prompt Runner Up} Some stories don't end - they linger, like April rain on quiet days. 𝑨𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒂 is a collection of moments that exist in the in-between - where beginnings feel uncertain, endings arrive softly, and emotions refuse to fade completely. Each poem captures fragments of connection, loss, growth, and quiet realization, unfolding like petals that never fully close. This is not a book of perfect endings. It is a book of almosts, echoes, and afterglow - of feelings that stay long after they should have left. Step gently into 𝑨𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒂, where every page holds a piece of something once felt, and never entirely forgotten. Long before foreign ships reached the islands, there was a village hidden between the sea and the ancient forest of Gubat Marilim. The people of Talindaw lived by the old ways. They respected the spirits of the rivers, feared the darkness beyond the trees, and followed the warnings passed down by their ancestors. One of those warnings was simple: Never answer when someone calls your name from the forest after sunset. For generations, no one dared to break the rule. Until a fisherman disappeared. Three days later, he returned. He looked the same. He spoke the same. He remembered his family. But something about him was wrong. Then Liraya began hearing voices from beneath the houses-voices belonging to people who had been dead for years. As more villagers vanish and others mysteriously return, fear spreads through Talindaw. No one knows what is happening, and soon the villagers begin questioning the people closest to them. Because whatever is hiding in Gubat Marilim does not simply kill its victims. It brings them back. And Liraya is beginning to suspect that some of the people she loves may have already returned. But the deeper she searches for the truth, the more terrifying the question becomes: If the dead can return wearing the faces of the living... how can anyone know who is still human? And when a voice that should have been buried forever begins calling Liraya's name from the darkness- will she be brave enough not to answer?

More than a thousand years have elapsed since the tragic fall of the ancient civilization of humans living on land that forced the emergence of an ultramodern way in which human society can operate - a system that has been caging its people from the moment it was born. But that is not the case for Naia, a teenage girl who has never let the invisible leash stop her from finding answers to the tragedy that has trapped them in a sphere. Until one of her quests led her to a remnant of a past that no one in their world had ever experienced. She was transported to a world that had already died centuries ago - or so everyone thought. The answers to her questions are now bound to be fulfilled by a place that time had buried and a life that her world had forgotten. And it is now in her hands, and a few others, to break the system that has cuffed her people onto the bar of subservience and bring back what once was theirs. Only that, Naia has yet to realize she is pointing her weapon at the wrong enemy. - Date started: 07/09/2026 Cover design: DioLuci
