Serena bit her lip, tears threatening to fall. "I'm sorry, Ash. But I need someone who's already strong... someone who can protect me, who can actually stand at the top. You're still just... dreaming." Her words echoed like poison in his ears. Ash turned away, his eyes burning, but no tears fell. Not yet. That night, as he left Lumiose City behind, his heart had hardened. For the first time in his life, Ash didn't just want to be the very best-he needed to be. Not for fun, not for adventure, not even for his friends. He wanted to prove Serena wrong. He wanted revenge. And so began his journey-not as the boy chasing dreams, but as the man who would crush them. His eyes set on the Pokémon Masters Tournament, the first one to ever occur, the place where only the strongest survived, the place where the strongest will be born. This time, Ash swore he wouldn't lose. This time, he would stand at the top. And when he did... Serena would see what she had thrown away.

The story starts after Ash returns from his Alolan Journey. He spends a few days at home until suddenly he has a vision of a cloaked figure calling him to train at Mt.Silver. He heeds the call. In this timeline, almost all the events that happened in the anime still happen except, removing a couple of Ash's unnovan Pokémon, he wins the Kalos league, and he doesn't release Greninja. Galar doesn't exist in this universe. Other than that everything is virtual the same.

Ash looked down at his desk in Pallet Town, his eyes drifting to a small, dusty blue ribbon tucked inside a trophy case. It wasn't a Gold Cup or a League Badge, but to him, it held a weight that the Master's Eight trophy didn't. In the distance, the roar of a Charizard echoed, but all Ash could hear was the sound of an escalator in Lumiose City and a promise made years ago. Ash, being his energetic self as usual, happily accepts the offer. Plenty of young and experienced trainers have been attending the school, including childhood friend and rival Gary Oak, along with Ash's previous traveling companions except Serena, whom Ash helped many years ago back in Professor Oak's summer camp, but didn't have a chance to encounter him in Kalos as she was too busy with her Pokemon Showcases. Join Ash and Pikachu as they set off towards the Kalos Region once again, where they run into old traveling companions, a new rival, and a certain honey-blonde who did not get a chance to meet Ash during his Kalos journey. The stage is yet again set for a new adventure because the journey starts today! Note: There will be a Team Flare arc at the near end of the story. Ash will be wearing his outfit from Pokemon Journeys: The Series outfit throughout the entire book while Serena will be wearing her XYZ outfit but without the ribbon(Ash will give her the ribbon as they get closer. This story will take place in an AU(Alternate Universe), so Serena will be replaced by Calem(let's give him a chance to be a good guy for once, since he's the main antagonist in every Amourshipping book I've read so far) although Ash will run into her as soon as he gets to his dorm at the school.
