WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION There are imperfect moments in every life-but sometimes, there are perfect accidents . . . What's the point of pretending nothing has changed when everything has? It's the last summer before college, and Jonas Avery knows he should be excited. Instead, he hides out at home, avoiding his friends, his family, and everything that resembles his old life. Because nothing will be normal again-because of The Accident, when everything started falling apart. Brennan Davis knows she needs to stand up and face her anxiety-the deep, dark, debilitating dread that rules her everyday life. Because what stops her from going out into the world and just living is going to get a whole lot worse. She's leaving for college in the fall, where she'll be confronted with even more to worry about. To get back up sometimes you have to fall down, hard . . . When Jonas crashes into Brennan-in a harmless, albeit embarrassing fender bender-the two teens connect in ways they never expected. As friends, they help each other overcome their biggest falls and faults, and soon discover that while love can't fix everything, it's sometimes a place to start. Sensitive, wry, and unabashedly authentic, The Opposite of Falling Apart isn't about finding perfection in another person or fixing the things we think are broken. Instead, Micah Good has penned an enchantingly honest novel about accepting the very pieces of ourselves that make us unique, whole, and undeniably human.

When twins Callie and Lexi were kids, they wrote a list of all the boys they wished to kiss when they started high school. Flash forward a year later, Lexi packed her bags and moved with her father to Melbourne in the wake of their parents' umpteenth separation. Yet after an unfortunate turn of events, Lexi finds herself moving back in with her mum and estranged sister in their final year of high school. Upon unpacking her things into her old room, she comes across the old kiss list and decides to challenge Callie to complete the list with her before they graduate, in the hopes they reconnect through it. However, Callie and Lexi both have their own obstacles that could see them kissing none of the boys on that list. Firstly, Lexi is a closeted gay to her sister and mother, unable to out herself to Callie in fear that she won't do the list with her. And Callie... well, she only has one leg. Callie believes girls with one leg are destined to never get a boyfriend when surrounded by girls who have two. Follow Callie and Lexi's journeys reuniting through much lip-locking, sister-bonding, and soul-searching. Callie and Lexi's Kiss List is a spin-off from Positive 1 and 2, following the story of Lily's and Cory's children. [Reading Positive 1 and 2 is not necessary to enjoy this story.]

Everest Bloom-Makarov had everything one could imagine-the perfect life, so to speak. He was the starting goaltender for the St. Vincent Eagles, a well-known preparatory school for athletically gifted students, with a guaranteed path to the Pan-American Hockey League. He had the perfect parents: his dad, Ivan Makarov, the infamous Hockey Hall of Famer, and his mom, Ismeri Bloom, one of the most successful real estate developers in the world. What people didn't know, though, was that nothing was as it seemed. For Adrian Rodriguez, life was the exact opposite. If anything, he was the unluckiest person alive. From the moment he turned fourteen, everything that could go wrong did. Cancer. Chemo. Surgery after surgery. And just when he thought he was finally in the clear, he found himself in the hospital again. This time, the cancer was back to take everything. It was time he faced the truth: he was never going to become anything, much less the pilot he once dreamed of being. Two strangers. Two completely different paths. One act of fate that brings them together.

Ulisses is adapting to his new prosthetic leg. More than phantom limb syndrome, what haunts the former Brazilian figure skating promise is the fear of never skating again. To add insult to injury, his parents are getting a divorce and he is facing yet another change, a move to another state, before New Year's Eve. The invite to be the titular character in Antares skating school rendition of "The Nutcracker", for the summer recital, could be a chance to fight his demons and overcome his fear. Estrela is adapting to her new extended family. Ever since the scandal that took away her privacy for good, when she was only thirteen, the girl has been living with her formerly estranged grandmother. Se can't set foot inside a school without having panic attacks, she has learned to dress in dark colors and to avoid the glances and notoriety her mom's lack of judgement has earned her. The role of Clara in the recital is her chance at regaining her freedom, and getting some attention for the right reasons. Now, all Estrela will have to do is figure out how to handle rehearsals for "The Nutcracker" with preparations for her dreaded 15th birthday party. What the two skating partners had never dreamed of, was to rekindle old ties, amidst Christmas lights, tapioca sandwiches and rehearsals for the recital. And that the extra something they could find under the Christmas tree tree was the courage to take a leap of faith and land, head over heels, in one another's arms. Mostly realistic oneshot about reader/oc helping Bucky take care of his prosthetic. Slight canon divergence, but I thought it would be interesting if Bucky actually had to take care of what remained of his limb like real people who have lost a limb do. Basically, a safe, cozy little thing about taking care of Bucky and helping him. Originally posted to AO3 💜 1753 Words Warnings/things to be aware of: Mentions of hydra and past trauma, some angst/stress relating to the challenges bucky faces with his arm. This can be read as a reader insert if you like, but it's written in the third person using she/her pronouns so you could also take it as an original female character. She is not named, or given a race or body type other than the amputation of her left leg. This isn't clearly definable as either romantic or platonic so it should be comfortable for most people, I hope. ~ I hope you liked this! It assumes his arm is removable. I do not have a limb difference, so there may be inaccuracies but I did some research and watched some videos from those who do have a limb difference (I know people call it different things, so I hope this term is okay). Since we don't really have much information on how his vibranium arm works, I took some liberties in that area. But please, please let me know if I should change something! Especially regarding limb care, I want it to make sense. Also, if anything regarding the limb difference is offensive in any way, please let me know and I will fix it, it's definitely not my intention! (also, I'm not used to making book covers so sorry if it looks a little weird hehe)
