Being Indian American feels like living in a pressure cooker wrapped in a smile. You're told to be perfect, productive, palatable - never loud, never intimidating. But travel to India, and you'll meet folks who are bold, stylish, confident, and unapologetically gangsta. DEAR DIASPORA, YOU'RE NOT THE MAIN CHARACTER is a sharp, personal callout - not to India, but to the suffocating performance of "representation," perfectionism and intraracial competition that dominates Desi life in the West. This isn't a sob story - it's a truth bomb. A cultural essay that demands real freedom, not filtered branding. If you're ready to sip some realness, break free from the cage of expectations, and find your max pro aura - this is for you. 🍋 Bold. Tart. Sweet. Unfiltered. 🍋 Just like a glass of limeade on a hot day.

On election day 2016, River is excited to vote red for the first time. As the son of the town police chief, he is a firm believer in law and order, the American dream, and hard work. He's got his life mapped out and just needs the perfect girl to settle down with. That's the day that a pretty new blonde sits next to him in his math class and she gets his heart racing. Girly, adventurous, and kind-hearted, she seems like his dream girl. But Luna is guarding a big secret. Can they trust each other? All River knows is that Luna opens him up to feelings he never felt before. He finds himself torn between the narrative he has been told growing up in rural Montana and the beautiful girl in front of him. The story follows their connection through four tumultuous years as River and Luna find a love worth protecting. Trigger warning: Story discusses some controversial topics, but it is a message of anti-bigotry.

Dystopian fiction. It's the year 2165, about a century after the Separation Act of 2035 and the establishment of the Separate States of Apartheid. In a world discriminated into sections based on race, and growing wars, and the population fading from existence, a quest to look for a dear one discloses the filthy truth behind the act and with it everything comes tumbling down. And the question is, could words strike harder than bullets?

A god-like author wants to write a book in which his main character just refuses to participate. Not this one. It lacks credibility. It's a book where people are judged by the color of their skin. Every book yearns to be a world unto itself. This character won't take it.

So this isn't the part where it's revealed that Carson and I had an affair. Or that I loved him. Or that he was my secret best friend or long-lost brother. All Carson Harris was to me was some boy who went to my school who I would probably never ever see again after college But, evidently, Carson Harris knew me. Knew me well enough to write my name out before he died. Or, should I say, before Carson Harris got murdered.
