Apophis. Here in our world, he's described as the God of Chaos and Darkness, who wishes to destroy everything. But what if it's different somewhere else? In MGE, Apophis is still a giant snake, only he has the biggest heart ever. He and the Sun goddess, Ra, were the best of friends. Until she came along. The Current Chief God. She turned Ra against him, convinced her that he was a demonic creature bent on destruction. So, the two Pantheon's sealed the massive serpent away, leaving him to battle Bast. To her surprise, the serpent throws her out, telling he did not want her to battle him for eternity, as she had others who needed her. When the feline goddess asks why, he simply responds by saying. "Nothing here remains for me. But there is still something for you. Go. Take care of the mortals, and try to stop the Chief God's schemes. For me. And for all others who will suffer at this shift."

An epic task falls to twenty-four champions from all across Egypt: to venture into the Underworld, following Ra's path down the River of Night. If the sun god has been captured or detained, rescue him. If an enemy stands in their way, kill him or die trying. The odds are stacked against them, but the consequences of failure are far, far worse than death. After all, if they're too slow, there may not be a sun left to save...
