The app's description claimed it could make users pregnant with a chosen number of months and babies. She then decided to try it and little did she know, her life was about to change.

HEADCOUNT is a psychological thriller anime about a secret death-market app that turns attention, hatred, poverty, guilt, and love into currency. The app lets users place a death wish on someone, but only after depositing the full bounty. The target price is calculated from social influence, emotional value, and public impact. Once funded, the target appears on a map for registered killers called Collectors. The story follows Renji Akiyama, a kind high school student known for helping people without asking for attention. After witnessing a Collector murder a target, Renji is pulled into the app as a Witness. As the season escalates, Renji learns that his kindness was not incidental. He was observed for months as part of an experimental model called Project Good Samaritan.
