"Things We Take For Granted" is a personal reflection about the blessings and privileges people often fail to appreciate, especially family, friendships, and emotional support. In this piece, I shared my realizations about how not everyone grows up with complete families, close relationships, or people they can rely on, which can make life feel lonely and painful.
I also opened up about my own experiences with loneliness, insecurity, emotional struggles, and the pain of feeling ignored by people I care about. Despite going through those hardships, I expressed how grateful I still am for my family, education, friends, and the people who continue to support me.
Overall, my piece highlights themes of gratitude, emotional vulnerability, self-doubt, resilience, and learning to appreciate the people and things we often take for granted.
