This is a short story about Tahir and Mercan. It shows how a young boy developed a deep love for his childhood best friend, Mercan, and how he grew into a man while holding onto that love. After they were torn apart, Tahir vanished and became Ateş Karahan just to survive the cruelty of life. For twenty years, he has loved her secretly from far away, watching over her every day until the moment finally comes where he introduce himself as Ateş Karahan to Mercan.

Mercan just wanted to live her life on terms, but the universe had it for her. Everyone around her would make decisions for her and as if that was less, enters Ates Karahan. Her husband of 187 days.
