Hello, I am Ash Lynx and this is my afterlife story. You might wonder if I am still alive,right? The answer is no. Though, not in this life.

time has passed, and people grew old, but the memories of an ash blonde male still lingers in eiji's mind. as he spent his last few breaths on writing a letter to his beloved, we get to see what he has written. OR: a letter eiji wrote to ash after they (or, he) grew old.

⚠Warning:⚠ Do not read this if you have not finished the Banana Fish series, as it contains spoilers to the ending. Heartbroken after Ash's death, Eiji Okumura has been finding life difficult, and is just about ready to give up when something happens that gives him a feeling he hasn't felt in a while--hope. One day, he hears of a young scientist, Pepper Aldine, who claims to have found a way to reverse death. Eiji, with the help of others who were close to Ash, manages to track the teenager down. After much persuasion, they eventually are able to convince Pepper to make the death cure. After years of hard work, she finally does it: she brings Ash back to life. All seems well until the newly formed trio discovers that there are malevolent people out there who have found out about Pepper's invention--and they want it for themselves.

Eiji is bored and decides to text his number neighbor (aka ash) they start to slowly develop a friendship . None of the art or illustrations in this book are mine, Me and my best friends are writing this book Ash is annoyed of Eiji at first 💀 but he slowly starts to like him more 😌💅

Eiji and Reki are childhood friends. After his pole vaulting accident, Eiji suffers from depression but tries to find his way back to school with Reki's help. Things begin to het more interested when they get two new students called Ash Lynx whose body language tells everyone to stay away and Langa Hasegawa, a student who rarely talks and has a cold and expressionless face. Maybe a new dawn will break for all of them?

Arthur follows through with his promise. Eiji is forced to live the life Ash desperately tries to escape from. (Originally posted on Ao3) PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION! Mild scenes of rape- this isnt a kink, just a really sad au I kept thinking of when the anime was on-going. This is also 5 chapters in one, so this is To Be Continued.

Note: please don't read that if you don't want to suffer through episode 24 again. This is a inner monologue of Ash while sitting in the public library after meeting with Blanca at the park but before Ash reads Eiji's letter. There will be a second part of this after reading Eiji's letter (he won't die I promise). It's like a prequel to my other story Another missed flight. Sorry, I needed that to cope with chapter 24 and some people kept pestering me about publishing it so I had no choice ... I wrote that to understand Ash's reasoning. Note that I had to pretend that Eiji told him some things directly and Ash just repeats what Eiji told him because Ash would never think or believe them about himself (like that he has a pure soul etc.) Call that relative freedom.
