In a fractured, feverish Rome that never quite became legend... Horizon Meridiana an unseen shade half ghost half parasite slips in and out of bodies and destinies. Her mere presence splinters fate ...prayers curdle prophecies rot Aeneas wanders, hollow gods bleed tar.... She is a trembling angel with a glass heart that rings like a curse, hunted by priests and poets who cannot trap her.... This is an updated iteration of a previous draft. I modified the name to align more closely with my character and the narrative universe. The essence remains unchanged only the form has evolved. ~Cheyanne Denise Cheney

Haven came to the city to write a story - not to become part of one. A strange pawn shop. A dead man. And a simple gold ring that feels far too intentional to be chance. Maddox feels magic before he names it. He's learned that ignoring it has never made the world safer. As quiet forces begin to move, Haven finds herself at the center of something she doesn't remember choosing - and drawn toward a man who seems to know more than he's willing to say. What begins as curiosity sharpens into something more dangerous: trust, tension, and an attachment neither of them planned for. She doesn't yet understand what she's carrying - or what it's meant to awaken. Only that fate has a shape. And it fits perfectly on her finger.

Update: due to incessant uses of bots on Wattpad, i am beginning the process of migrating my stories to other sites, I'm not sure which ones yet, but the prologue for this story just got transferred into "Royal Road" "AO3" and "WebNovel" I will continue to post here on Wattpad for a while longer due to sentimentality. September 23rd, 2560, AI, Naomi Hello captain, to preface the ongoing conflict with the Banished forces, our resources are draining faster than anticipated, Marines, Spartan IV's, and even our Sangheili allies like the arbiter are being affected with the escalating conflict. ONI however is... they're getting on my nerves, they're being more paranoid than usual and I have an idea why, a field report in 2559 was filed during the Spirit of Fire issue, during their skirmises with the Banished, but that's not what's scaring ONI, at least i don't think.. in that report, a squad of marines under interim commander "Major Vaughan" have reported suspicious activity near firebase Omikron... something about a shifting shape with bioluminescent curtains within. a strange report to say the least, but whatever it is it's got ONI's panties in a bunch... AI Naomi, signing out. PS: i apologize but I must advise caution, I believe this universe is far larger than we all anticipated. --------- Authors Note: this Story is going to be INCREDIBLY slow.

THE NAMES WE OUTGREW by winter-fire Some loves do not end. They simply stop being places you can live. On the eve of his wedding, Nikolai is confronted with a truth he believed had been buried for years. Letters once lost to silence resurface, revealing that the woman he mourned never stopped loving him-and that the life he painstakingly rebuilt may have been founded on a misunderstanding that was never his to make. Caught between two women who embody different forms of survival-one forged in fire and ambition, the other in patience and quiet devotion-Nikolai must face a question with no merciful answer: Is love defined by the passion that first breaks us, or by the steady presence that teaches us how to endure? Told through shifting perspectives and steeped in imagery of winter, memory, and restraint, The Names We Outgrew is a literary exploration of grief, gratitude, and the cost of becoming whole-asking what it means to choose a future when the past refuses to remain silent.

'Uncomfortable After Dark' is a collection of short fiction I've wrote designed to unsettle rather than frighten. These are quick, contained stories, each meant to be read in a single sitting. The unease in these stories comes from quiet places, familiar settings and ordinary people. Most are supernatural, emotional or both and there's even a touch of warmth. There are no jump scares and no neat explanations, just the slow realisation that something isn't right. Read them quickly but sit with them for longer. I'll add more frequently.

The city lay swallowed by eternal darkness, lifeless and silent after Clara's disappearance, its only beacon of hope extinguished. Empty streets, abandoned playgrounds, and withered gardens whispered of decay, while shadows crept into every corner, suffocating all life. The people moved like ghosts, their laughter and dreams stolen, and the Night of the Lost Paradise pressed down with relentless oppression. Yet in the heart of this despair, a flicker of hope remained: could divine forces pierce the darkness, awaken the city, and banish the evil that had claimed the Night of the Lost Paradise?

Writing isn't just about putting words on a page; it's about discovering parts of yourself you didn't know existed. Today, I found myself stuck on a chapter, only to realize that the character's hesitation was actually my own. It's funny how our stories become mirrors. I'm learning to lean into the silence and let the characters speak for themselves, even when the path isn't clear. To every writer out there struggling with a "blank page" day: your story is still moving, even when the cursor isn't. ~Mercy Alfred

A girl whose heart glows like a lantern. A warmth that reaches someone she's never met. A love story that begins not with searching, but with remembering. This is the moment two unseen souls recognize each other across distance, silence, and the quiet ache of night. A soft, atmospheric tale about resonance, intuition, and the invisible thread that pulls two hearts into the same breath.
