The Madrigal's are a famed family that reside within Encanto. They were given a gift, a miracle, and that miracle is passed down through many generations. Pepa married her childhood friend, Félix, and it was the beginning of Bruno's bad reputation. Julieta, on the other hand, married a clumsy man named Augustin. After their marriages, both women were pregnant soon. And Abuela was delighted to have more magical blessings on the way. Delores and Isabela were born first. The very first grandchildren to the Madrigal family. But between their birth and when they received their powers, Bruno's reputation continued to deteriorate. As did his relationship with his mother and sisters. He was becoming desperate. People in the town feared him. All he wanted was love. Then Bruno meets Valentina. They hit it off. Bruno is desperate. And his desperation results in an accident. Valentina becomes pregnant. Abuela is angry. They offer to get married but Abuela says the damage is done. Valentina gives birth to a baby girl she names Itzayana, after the moon. But Valentina never sees her daughter grow. Follow Itzayana as she navigates being a Madrigal and deals with the effects of her power. And maybe, just maybe, Itzayana finds someone special of her own.

A tale of a slave

I will say that this was just to satisfy myself with how I wanted my own story to go,the other ones I have read didn't work for me. This is to see if I can make it how I like it, if you don't, you can read a different one, lol. -Backstory (more in first chapter)- Y/n was an average kid, born in 1973. (For the sake of the story, I'm going to go along with my birthday, sorry) October 9th, the exact day they were born. Exactly 15 years after being born, on that exact day, they felt something strange happen. They blew it off since it could have been something with the Madrigals' gifts. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, they live in Encanto. A town that was brought to life by a candle. Not just any candle. A magical one.
