Hestia is one of many unfortunate children born during the war. Her parents were also victims of the war. At nine, Hestia is orphaned with no known family to claim her. When she thinks she's all alone and will grow up to be nothing, the Fire Lady Ursa, also an old friend of her mother's, suddenly appears, takes her under her wing, and promises her a life that will be better than it ever was. Water. Earth. Fire. Air. During the old days of the world, the Avatar kept balance between the water tribes, earth kingdom, fire kingdom, and air nomads. But that all changed when the fire nation attacked. Only the avatar could master all four elements and only he could stop the ruthless firebenders. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years have passed, and the fire nation is nearing victory in the war. Some people believe that the Avatar was never reborn into the air nomads, and that the cycle was broken.
