The whole kingdom has seethed and raged in this smoldering cauldron for twenty-five years. The rightful heir of the kingdom, Mahendra Baahubali returns after twenty-five years and avenges his parents and saves his motherland from the evil clutches of the tyrant, Bhallaladeva. Under the watchful eyes of Kattappa, the royal retainer of Mahishmati, the wise and enlightening counsel of the Queen Mother, Devasena, and his Royal Consort, Avanthika's constant and unwavering support, Mahendra learns the ropes of kingship and begins ruling Mahishmati. A short grace period of peace and prosperity ensue. Mahendra has become the proud father of a bright and vivacious daughter, Bhagiradhi and is eagerly awaiting the birth of his next progeny. At this point, things start going terribly wrong for this royal family and kingdom. In a world continually in flux, a world where what appears in not what is true, where the strongest of relationships are forged out of grand lies, can the siblings stay true to themselves and their inner spirit? Can the younger generation step into the shoes of their illustrious forefathers and reinstate the former glory of this once proud kingdom? Follow their journey in life as they leave their imprints on the sands of time and annals of Mahishmati's history. Note: This is the first draft of this fanfiction. A lot of things can be fine-tuned, polished and improved during the editing process. But since this is a fanfiction, I am going to leave the story in its first draft. All the original characters are created by him. I have tried to stick as close to his Narrative as possible. There are also a few references from the book "the rise of Sivagami" written by Anand Neelakantan.

Baahubali the magnum opus was larger than life. It was made so by the larger than life sets, story, direction and acting. Of course Baahubali, Bhallala Deva, Sivagaami, Devasena all remembers them. For me two characters stand out in the acting. Let me take them separately starting with Kattappa.

The war for Mahishmati has been won. The evil tyrant Bhallaladeva has been overthrown. The King and Queen are together. Or, are they really? Meet the royal couple of Mahishmati, Mahendra Baahubali and Avantika as they navigate and steer through the minefield of enemies, differences, and insecurities that threaten to rip them apart. But as they say, "When one loves with everything they have, all paths lead to the beloved!" Presenting-: King of Hearts and Queen of Swords. Disclaimer: This is an imaginary fanfiction story based on the characters of Mahendra Baahubali and Avantika from S. S. Rajamouli Sir's magnum opus movie franchise, Baahubali. It has been written upon the request of one of my readers @jaanu612. The characters do not belong to me neither do I make any money or profit out of this endeavor. This story deals with how Mahendra Baahubali and Avantika get married after the events portrayed in Baahubali 2. I didn't get the chance to explore this avenue in my other fanfiction story, Shatru Sesham: Sequel of Baahubali, because that story was about the children of Mahendra Baahubali and Avantika. But it has always been at the back of my mind. So, I am excited to be writing this story about them. It won't be long like Shatru Sesham. It will have about 9 chapters.
