Following their victory over John Garrett's forces and thwarting a section of HYDRA, Nick Fury, former Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., appointed Phil Coulson as Director and tasked him with rebuilding the agency and destroying the remaining HYDRA cells across the world with the help of his trusted team containing Agent Melinda May, expert pilot, martial artist and longtime friend of the new Director, Agent Leo Fitz, an intelligent engineer, and Agent Jemma Simmons, a brilliant biochemist, and computer hacker Skye, now a full-fledged S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Also joining Coulson's core team is Monica Green, a highly trained specialist in combat and espionage and Lance Hunter, a dashing mercenary sharpshooter with a quick wit. Set in Season 2 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
