History will argue with what I am about to say. It prefers its wars clean, its gods infallible, and its monsters simple. This story is none of those things. I did not intend to have a son. Demons do not intend such things. We do not build futures. We endure them. And yet, somewhere between a war I no longer remember and a love I was never meant to feel, the impossible occurred. A collection of my writings over the years. It took a broader scope to realize how prevalent the "Us and Them" theme was in my writing, so now that I see it, I'm going to try to stitch it together. The overall idea is that Man just can't catch a break. There are powers beyond us that seem to want to keep us down. These could be coincidental run-ins with an extra-dimensional being(s) or just bad luck on our part. Anyway, it's always easier to blame someone or something for our problems.
