Aarashe
Aarav never believed in love stories. He thought they only existed in movies and novels. But everything changed on a quiet July evening.
It was the first day of the new school term. Dark clouds gathered above, and soon heavy rain poured down. Students ran in all directions, laughing and shouting. Aarav stood near the school gate, frustrated because he had forgotten his umbrella.
Just then, a soft voice said, "You can share mine."
He turned around and saw Meera - the new girl in class. She had kind eyes and a shy smile. Aarav hesitated for a moment, then stepped under her umbrella. The rain fell heavily around them, but inside that tiny space, it felt warm and peaceful.
They walked slowly, trying not to step into puddles. At first, they spoke about simple things - homework, teachers, favorite subjects. But somehow, the conversation felt easy. Natural. Different.
The next day, Aarav found himself searching for Meera in class. She waved at him from the second row. That small wave made his heart race in a way he had never felt before.
Days turned into weeks. They studied together in the library, shared lunch during breaks, and laughed at silly jokes no one else understood. Aarav realized that love wasn't about dramatic moments. It was about small things - like remembering how she liked her tea or how she smiled when she was nervous.
One evening, as the sun painted the sky orange, they sat on the school steps.
"Do you think we'll still be friends after school ends?" Meera asked softly.
Aarav looked at her and replied, "Not just friends. I hope we'll always be part of each other's story."
Meera smiled - the kind of smile that stays in your memory forever.
And just like that, Aarav finally believed in love stories.
Because sometimes, all it takes is one rainy day... and one shared umbrella.
