Bestrong Stories

This chapter book was inspired by the many stories dear family, friends, and personal experiences have taught me through the years. Can I be Strong? is a question that many of us have thought about throughout our life. Yet, the teens in these stories battle the uncertainty of learning who they are, who they are meant to be, how to become strong, and in the process, how to strengthen themselves and their families. "Hey Guys!" He said, with a friendly smile. I waved hi, and looked at the kid standing next to him. "Oh! Right. This is my son, Colten." I waved at him. "Hi, my names Catana." I greeted him. "Catana? As in, like the sword Katana?" He asked, spark in his eyes. I shook my head. "It's spelled with a 'C' not a 'K'." I said, correcting him. He just nodded. I looked at my dad. "Hey Dad. What's the special thing?" He laughed. ~He's the 'special' thing? Is my dad crazy? He's just a kid like me. Nothing special about him.~ I smiled, not trying to be rude. Colten smiled back.

You can go back and change the beginning but you can start where you are and change the ending.

She smiled when people were around. So kind and funny, a side that I've never seen before. I admired this side of her and it gave me hope. But once everyone was gone she said words to me that always made me cry. She would find whatever was at her reach and would leave marks on my body. Every single time , I cried out sorry when I didn't even know what I did wrong...I just wanted her to stop. Every night I prayed to God and promised that tomorrow I will be a better girl.

This isn't your normal "story". This isn't a book you read, to make you laugh. This is a "journal", you could call it. This is a journey, through the deep oceans of life. This is MY journey.
