Growing up was one of the many things that, as kids, sounded amazing. But what about when we get older? We find ourselves regretting ever uttering those words. As we reach adulthood, life may not treat us the way we expected or even spare us a second glance as time flies by. We are forced to step into the world feeling clueless and lost.
Izuku Midoriya, a 19-year-old music major in college, feels lost in his life and feelings. It's not because he doesn't have what he wants or dreamed of, but because he can't understand why he hates himself and anyone who tries to help him. He wasn't always like this. He was happy once, but that was a long time ago. After his mom passed away, he felt like he didn't deserve to live. He believes it should have been him instead of his mother. He continued on only because he felt in debt to her-it was her dying wish. His mom may have been abusive in many ways. Still, she was his mother, and he couldn't hate her because she wasn't always like that. How will he ever forgive everyone who wronged him if he can't even forgive himself or let go of his insecurities? Well that's until he finds Ruby Eyes.
Katsuki Bakugo, a 20-year-old art major who struggles with both strong egotistic, toxic tendencies and deep self-loathing. On the outside, he seems to be very confident in himself, sometimes even to the point of arrogance. A lot of people see him as self-centered. But underneath it all, he is always fighting feelings of not being good enough and pushes himself to the point of exhaustion. This self-doubt and emotional fight between his heart and mind. Cause him to deal with self-destructive thoughts that affect both his art and relationships. Until he finds Green eyes and cheeks that remind him of strawberries
