"You're probably one of the typical black guys, who are into mixed girls and non-black girls. No need for me to waste my time" I said shrugging and grabbing my books ready to leave the conversation "Nah baby, you got me all wrong" he replies, a small smile growing on his face showing his white teeth "i love me some dark girls"

Lately I've noticed the whole Team Light skin vs. Team Dark skin thing is getting out of hand. I wanted to say a few things about how ridiculous I think the whole thing is. This is just my opinion it's not necessarily right, nor is it wrong. I just want all people to celebrate their beauty and for others to stop finding ways to slyly incorporate ways to discriminate into our lives. I just want anybody reading it to know they need to embrace their beauty and their looks don't define that. This is directed towards Black girls, but even if you're white,Indian,Hispanic,Korean,Chinese,or any other race (that I'm too lazy to include xD I love you thooo) I want you to know you are beautiful and amazing and you should never tell yourself or any other person differently.

Jason Montgomery had always thought he knew his identity. He thought that those nagging "what ifs" were over now. His life was finally on track, a so called normal. His relationship was finally blossoming and they were ready to take the next step. But that's when he meets a not so special and quite frankly, insecure girl named Wesley Brown. His whole ideology changes and maybe they both learn what it's like to be hurt because of who you are. Cover: @foreverNovember

Black writers of Wattpad! I love the talent that so many of you display. The heart, humor, tragedy, and innovative news of your stories. Our stories. However, if you write on here at all, you know how difficult it can be to get your stories noticed and off the ground. Sometimes waiting for the one comment of upvote feels like waiting for a drop of rain in the desert. That in mind, I want to open a space for us to come together as a community. o relate to each other, uplift our stories, and share them. To normalize brown-skin in all it's wonderful shades, to celebrate our beautiful and unique features, and to love writing tales that reflect our lived experiences. So if you're a black writer of any gender, sexuality, religion, or nationality, feel free to join this Club. [AS OF 7/12/22: Officer Applications Are Open! Apply in the first part and you'll be DM'd a discard code. Roles include Moderators: You moderate the discord in addition to the comments on the book club. Curators: You find stories to invite more black writers for the club to rad and write. Editors: Checking over grammar and editing mistakes in community posts and announcements Judges: In the event of writing contests, you will be voting on stories to win different nominations. Betas: Volunteers to Beta Read the works of community members.]
