she wasn't always like this. there was a time when Storm was a bright little girl with real dreams. dreams that seemed accomplishable and glorious. those were encouragements her daddy used to give her late at nights before bed. he still gave her that tiny glimmer of hope, just through the specialized laminate material of the prison glass windows. Storm changed her name when she joined her gang. she didn't want to be Bellona. not only was it a ridiculous name it was not who she was. Bellona no longer existed, only Stormi. Bellona was a naive child whose reality of the world quickly changed growing up a Black girl. Bellona once believed the world was just and fair until it proved her wrong.. ultimately hardening her heart. now Stormi, that was a warrior. her fierceness was worshipped by nearly all of the Bronx. they knew a real one when they saw it. her pain was hidden very deeply, almost unattainable beneath a facade of emptiness. but of course, the wall will eventually be broken down. the cause of it? two friends of different but also not so different backgrounds. there is practically no actual representation of black culture on Wattpad. we aren't just a culture. or a statistic. once, this world was ruled by wealthy Black kings and queens. what happened? colonization and immoral conquering. but now? we're still royalty. we're human. we're Black with real actual stories and real problems we face worldwide, institutionalized, and in our own communities.

Emily is lesbian. She used to be anorexic, anorexic and suicidal. When she was fifteen she had an attempt in suicide that was unsuccessful. Her recovery, and even the fact that she survived, was a medical miracle. It was truly a wonder, even a bit too wondrous, Emily had thought. She always had her doubts but she was grateful for a second chance at life. Two years later and cured of anorexia, Emily rediscovers Sam, a magical being called a spirit, and her world turns upside down. Emily learns of magic and the world of wonders that are hidden from the eyes of humans in plain sight. Emily discovers a hidden talent, and slowly but surely, starts to fall in love with Sam, even though he's a he. If Emily can't keep a secret, one concerning the world of wonders, she will be banned from it and from Sam. Can Emily carry this burden? Or will she slip and let it out and never see Sam, ever, again? And will she find out the truth of what happened on the day she almost died?
