Nobody gives you a handbook for becoming an adult. You just wake up one day and realize you're expected to know who you are, where you're going, and how to survive everything life throws at you. Diary of Adulting is a collection of poems, thoughts, and reflections about growing up in a world that doesn't always make sense. It's about love and loss, anger and forgiveness, identity and self-discovery, and the words we carry with us-even when we wish we could forget them. For anyone who's ever felt lost between who they were and who they're becoming, this is your reminder: You don't have to have it all figured out yet. You're still becoming.

"Jesus, take the wheel... 'cause I ain't doin' '25 without you." This ain't no fairytale. It's real life - raw, unfiltered, and documented day by day from the frontlines of surviving mental illness, heartbreak, poverty, and system failure. Jen is a ghetto goddess, a BPD warrior, a mama without her babies, and a woman trying to stay alive without electricity, love, or peace of mind. From sleeping with five dogs to stay warm, to battling suicidal thoughts in the middle of an Amarillo blizzard, her story is chaotic, heartbreaking, hilarious, and powerful as hell. She's in love with a man who only loves her when it's convenient. Her daughter's struggling with the same demons she fought growing up. And every day, she wakes up wondering if today will finally be different - or just another tragedy. This isn't just a diary. It's survival on paper. It's for the misunderstood. The mentally ill. The brokenhearted. The ones still holding on by a blunt and a prayer. You might judge her. But you'll never forget her.

Can You Hear Me? describes, briefly, what it is like in the mind of someone who is depressed. This does not describe every case but, this story was written about a few of my experiences. The narrator in the story is what I call the "rational" me. She knows what is going on in our world; she is in the mind of a depressed person. She doesn't have depression, but it is almost like she has the cure for it. The only problem is the "irrational" me (in other words, the "physical" me) doesn't acknowledge her; doesn't hear her. Can You Hear Me? is a political memoir that I wrote for my English Composition I class. I was to write it no more than four pages long so it is a short story. I am having ideas about making it a longer story but, we will see. Can You Here Me? No, I can't.

This is a story about what it feels like to grow up inside someone else's pain. About manipulation that didn't leave bruises, words that carved deeper than hands, and a mind that became its own prison. My Mother's Half is the journey from psychological survival to self-reclamation - from being shaped by damage to choosing healing instead.
