They find themselves embroiled in a bitter conflict with an evil slave trader. They have to play a deadly game and win in order to free hundreds of slaves. The game mentioned in this story Puli-Meka Atta (Telugu) or Aadu-Puli Aattam (Tamil) is an ancient Indian board game where three tigers are pitted against fifteen goats. The side representing the goats has to take care to protect its goats while maneuvering the three tigers into positions from which they cannot move. The side representing the tigers can make its tiger jump over squares while killing any goat placed in between. Once a certain number of goats of the other side have been killed, it becomes difficult to rein in the tigers.
