Whoever said The Bahamas was only paradise for the tourists, would seem to have been sadly mistaken. These are the new generation, the spoiled private schoolers, the sons and daughters of Ministers of Parliament or retired foreign moguls. They are the type that get quite peeved that they have to go to Rio de Janeiro two summer vacations in a row, when mom and dad promised them when they were in St. Barts for the spring, that they could visit Paris for the summer and stay right into the reopening of school, so they can proudly deliver their Paris vacation as an excuse to all their friends as to why they are just returning with it already being a week into the new school year. They are the Petite Elite. No this isn't 90201, and it may not be the part where you grew up but believe it or not this is the real 242. It's a party and against our better judgment you were invited. Two rival people, poor bahamaians and immigrant haitians dislike each other because of a love gone wrong that happened in the past. A bahamian woman (Pre'Nell) fell in love with a haitian man (Peterson) and the bahamian man (William) who Pre'Nell was arranged to marry didn't like this so he killed Peterson and Pre'Nell. He went to the obeah man and placed a curse that if the two races ever fall in love with each other, there will be tragedy withn in two months. From that day on both people had beef with each other. The Bahamains saw it as if Pre'Nell had never met Peterson it would have never happened. And the haitians saw it as if Pre'Nell obeyed her fathers orders they both would have been here. Therefore both races blamed each other. Now, it has happened again where a haitian girl (Juiliette) fall in love with a bahamian boy (Leon) but, with a twist. A forbidden love that may or may not turn into a tragedy.

It all started with a game... it all ended with death. This is something that I had to write for a writing workshop that I was apart of. It's a Bahamian twist of the midnight man.
