Gotham is no stranger to chaos, but this time the terror is all too familiar.
A chilling wave of copycat crimes sweeps through the city, each meticulously staged to mirror iconic (and traumatic) moments in the Batfamily's history. Someone is not just imitating them, they're weaponizing their legacy. With deadly precision. Old scars ache anew. The line between justice and vengeance blurs.
As Batman and his allies spring into action, it becomes clear that these crimes aren't just imitations, they're messages. Someone knows their pasts intimately. Every battle, every failure, every scar is being used against them. What started as a series of crimes soon spirals into psychological warfare. And no one is safe.
At the center of it all is Caitlyn, the newest and least tested member of the Batfamily, who has recently taken on the mantle of Batgirl. Initially seen as an outsider trying to prove herself, Caitlyn's role becomes impossible to ignore when the perpetrator begins leaving behind messages, encoded and intimate, addressed specifically to her. Clues that suggest she's more than just a target. She might be the key. Or worse, a pawn.
Damian Wayne, fiercely proud and territorial as the current Robin, grows increasingly suspicious of Caitlyn's involvement. Her swift rise in the mission (and the villain's fixation on her) makes him question her motives, and perhaps even her loyalty. But with time running out and more lives at stake, the team must put their differences aside and work as one.
As the investigation deepens, a terrifying truth begins to emerge: this isn't just a challenge to their skills, it's an attack on their very identity. The masked orchestrator knows who they are, what they've lost, and what could break them. If the Batfamily fails to uncover the truth behind the impostor's mask, it may not only tear them apart but destroy everything they've built. Together and as individuals.
Because in Gotham, the past never stays buried.
