This is my entry for the #BattleTheBeast contest by SyFy for the show The Magicians. It has exactly 1,495 words. I hope you enjoy my simple twist on an amazing series!

Quinten, a magician in a world made of magic fights his worst enemy. The Beast whom has taken ahold of the darkness, killed what used to be Quentin's true love Alice. He must not only save himself, but avenge the death of his beloved. Like moths drawn to a flame Quentin must use his power to save Fillory, but little does he know he might have saved somebody else along the way. Quentin and his friends are back at it again, fighting the Beast. This time, they transported to Salem, Massachusetts and have to get Julia back from the clutches of the Beast. But how can they do that with little to no magic?

Julia lends a hand in helping the Physical Kids, along with Penny, in a battle against the Beast. Will twice the power and magic be enough to defeat him for good?

Quentin Coldwater is a new magician at Brakebills, a high school for magic. Him and his newly found friends have lots of adventures. But some adventures are bad like when the beast brakes in to the school again and steals his friend Elliot.

My entry in the Battle the Beast Competition hosted by The Magicians. Here's what happened on the 39th time that Quentin faced The Beast.

"I'm sorry Quentin, but it has to be this way. No matter how bad I want to be with you... I can't be selfish with you either. If I have to erase your memory and break my heart to keep you alive, then that's how it has to be." After another failed attempt at killing the beast, Quentin and his friends decide to lay low, while they gather their strength back. Too bad no one told The Beast that. When everyone at Brakebills disappears mysteriously, who's left to help Quentin defeat The Beast? Well, none other than his raven-haired beauty of course.

The Magicians TV series explores a world of magic, a world full of possibilities, and this story is one of them. In the show, a group of unlikely students at a magical university must learn to fight an other-world evil known only as the Beast. They fail numerous times, but after each failure, time is reset by the witch Jane Chatwin, who tries to improve the outcome by changing something. This story explores one such timeline.

The White Lady has come for the annual festival to see the young Magicians Battle The Beast. First a category must be chosen. When the groundhog goes still Dean Fogg bends down to retrieve the animal. It squeaks nervously. Underneath are the words 80s Movies. Note: I own none of these images or characters. This isn't for profit. This is for the #BattleTheBeast Magicians contest.

My second entry for Battle The Beast. This one is longer. Again, not a genre I'm used to writing in but I liked writing this. In this battle, it's revealed that Martin has a twin brother that Jane has known about for years and hidden his existence from her brother.
