Sungjae was the reigning emperor. He had his queen and concubines, thanks to political alliances, but the only woman he loved was Park Sooyoung, the empire's strongest witch. There was a prophecy from the Park family, a family of witches since the Goryeon era, that clearly foresee, no witch from their blood should ever marry into the royal family, or there will be a blood bath. If any of their descendants insisted upon the union, the son they had would destroy the kingdom and killed thousands of people. Sooyoung knew this, and ever since she was a child, she did her best to push Sungjae away. Too bad, he fell for her and vowed to never give up. The beautiful witch could only do one thing, made sure they would never be together. But could she lie to herself forever? Will she be strong enough to keep pushing away her own feelings?
