Simone expected a quiet summer by the beach-just her, her thoughts, and her grandparents' old house in Ocean City. But everything changes when she runs into Gavin Rhodes, the boy from school she never thought she'd see again... especially not barefoot on the boardwalk. As they reconnect under golden skies and moonlit waves, a spark starts to grow. Then Damon Cruz shows up-mysterious, charming, and local. And suddenly, summer isn't so simple anymore. Three hearts. One summer. And a decision that could change everything. A story about first love, summer nights, and the space between hello and goodbye.

Maura never wanted to spend her summer on the Outer Banks. She came only because her mom asked, hoping a short visit would be enough to ease whatever worry was behind her voice. But the moment Maura sets foot on the island, she feels it. The shift in the air. The eyes that linger. The sense that everyone knows something she does not. Her mom told her to enjoy the beaches, meet a few locals, and try to relax. Simple enough. Until Maura starts to notice the patterns. Strangers who seem to recognize her. A family name she has never heard whispered like a warning. A past she does not remember tied tightly to a place she has never been. The Outer Banks has its own rhythm, shaped by secrets buried in sand and salt. Maura is supposed to be a visitor, nothing more. Instead, she finds herself pulled into a story that began long before she arrived, one her mom never prepared her for. Now the island is waking up around her, and Maura has to decide if she is ready to learn the truth it has been holding for years.

A summer getaway. A pretty beach and beach house. The perfect beach town. Supposed to be one of the best summers ever before Luke and Reed head off to college, it quickly goes to shit- within a week. Isn't drama supposed to hold off until at least the second week of school? Apparently not in this case. On top of Reed and Isla constantly bickering and arguing it definitely doesn't help at all. Reed and Isla, aka Tom and Jerry. Constantly going at it; annoying each other, competing for everything, belittling each other, bickering and arguing 24/7. Luke being the only mediator between them is torn when he has to choose between his sister and best friend. Someone's definitely getting hurt and there's no way to avoid that. Can they fix it though? Who knows.

They grew up tangled together-four kids turned tight-knit teens, raised on salt water in their hair, midnight sprints down the sand, and a friendship that started before any of them could walk. Suddenly, those endless, easy days are over. The group gets dragged into something darker than anything they've ever seen. Now, they're looking at their neighbors with suspicion-and, honestly, they start questioning each other, too. Secrets bubble up. Love gets messy. Fights break out, feelings won't stay hidden, family drama won't quit, and somewhere out there, a killer is blending in with everyone else. Their perfect little world starts to fall apart. I wrote this story with a close colleague in mind...something sweet and lighthearted just for her. She enjoys romance when it's about others, though she's not one to seek it out for herself. In my version of her story, she stumbles upon love in the most unexpected way. And since she has a thing for Italian men, I couldn't resist giving her the very best...straight from my imagination. _________________________________________________________________ He's the brooding Italian groomsman she never asked for. She's the island girl who doesn't believe in love stories, not even at a wedding. Keilani agreed to be a bridesmaid out of love for her aunt-not to get paired up with a stranger for two weeks of wedding prep. But when she meets Marco De Luca, the groom's brooding, maddeningly attractive nephew, sparks start flying in all the wrong (and right) ways. He's intense. She's unimpressed. And neither of them is looking for love. But under the warm skies of Fiji, hearts have a way of unravelling. And when tension turns into something deeper, Keilani must decide: will she keep her walls up... or take the risk no one expects? A slow-burn island romance filled with banter, unexpected chemistry, and the kind of connection you can't outrun, even in paradise.

They didn't mean to hurt her. Not really. "Aloo. Panda. Motu." They were just nicknames. Cute. Funny. Said with love, wrapped in laughter. So she laughed too. She laughed until her stomach hurt. Until her jaw ached. Until the laughter sounded real enough to even fool herself. But at night-when the house fell silent and the only sound was her ceiling fan clicking rhythmically-those names didn't feel so cute anymore. In the quiet, they became weights. Weighing on her arms. Her cheeks. Her stomach. Her heart. She wasn't fat. Not really. She wasn't ugly either. But she wasn't beautiful. Not the kind of girl people wrote songs about. She wasn't the girl. She was the friend. The confidante. The shoulder to cry on. The afterthought. And she had made peace with it. Or at least, that's what she told herself every morning as she tugged her oversized hoodie sleeves over her hands and let her untamed curls fall like a curtain around her face. Until him. Until his eyes didn't skim past her like everyone else's. Until his smile didn't say "cute" like she was a stuffed toy. Until his presence made her question everything she had built her walls for. This isn't a story about glow-ups. This is a story about a girl who was never broken. Just unseen.
