Sammy Green is a 16 year old volleyball player who lives in Chicago, but after being found by producer Gary Pool, she drops her college dreams of playing to pursue her singing career. One month after working with Gary, she is offered to join the Fight to Tour contest, a contest where thousands of other teens compete to win a two month tour with 1 of 10 bands, including 5sos, the vamps, and before you exit. If Sammy were to win, it would mean so many more fans and fame, which would officially start her singing career. But that is only if she can win. Even if Sammy does win, will it be what she wanted? The girls’ story starts out not as a sob story, but with one of the happiest events in the past few years for the girls. Surviving their freshman year of high school! The last day of school also happens to be the day of the Before You Exit concert in Baltimore! The girls have been counting down the days since March 29th (the last BYE concert they went to) and it has finally come to the day they have been waiting for throughout the whole final quarter of the school year. Tessa and Carter have both been feverishly creating scenarios in their minds of what they think will happen during the concert, via text and email, almost every day. But when the time finally comes to step through the doors for VIP, will all of their thoughts go down the drain? Or will their dreams become reality? And after the concert, will their scenarios prove to be unerring? Or will everything they have predicted crash and burn? You may be thinking, “Isn’t that how all the stories go?” But I can assure you, you’ll be surprised by this story of Tessa Moore and Carter Hall.
