Historias de Beinggandhi

Occupational equality is questioned in nook and corner of the country. It's my experience based on Mahatma Gandhi's ideas of equality for humans. Just a small observation, that changed the perspective. This is an entry for WattPad India and Harper Collins India's #BeingGandhi contest.

A poster that changed lives!

This story is a submission for #BeingGandhi Writing Contest and through which, I'm sharing my Gandhi moment. It is about the incident when I realized and understood the very strong meaning of the commonly spoken phrase, 'Atithi Devo Bhava'. One of Gandhi ji's teachings was being Selfless... And this very teaching is linked with my story, which reflects upon selflessness and helping others even if they're strangers. 'Atithi Devo Bhava' has been one of India's most famous phrases. It means 'A Guest is like God' and the very fact that it signifies kindness and unconditional love, links it to one of Gandhi ji's Teachings, i.e., selfless compassion.

What i did might not sound heroic but that smile on her face meant the world to me for a deep second.

"To be friends with the world and to regard the whole human family as one " As long as love goes beyond religion, cast or creed we can all hope for a better future. Love binds, love paves for oneness...
