In the heart of World War I, an ambitious young soldier quickly finds that trading his diploma for combat books leads him down roads to destruction and creates a new meaning for fear which he had never imagined. When he quickly finds him self living in a mirror opposite of the world he once thought he knew, his concept of what is right and wrong must quickly adapt. And he must decide, is there truly a distinct line between good and evil-- or is there a no man's land between the two?
