Not wanting to be just another dead girl Beth asks Daryl to teach her how to survive in this new world. Working together he brings her to life and gives her the confidence she needs. She gives him love and a calm that he didn't know he needed. Together they balance each other with the light and the dark. (My take on Beth if she had shown more sass early on. Personally I think her character could have been a great story to tell)

Daryl and Beth have both escaped the the prison together. Daryl has been hiding his feelings for her and she has been hiding them from him. Their relationship excels quickly as they try to find the rest of the group. ( first book so im gonna do my best)

Daryl is drawn to this girl, unable to shake the feeling of compulsion. And Beth is entranced by the sight of the older, enigmatic man watching her sing from across the bar. What starts out as an unlikely pairing turns into something much more in the dark corner of a sleazy bar.
