He was the effortless center, all laughter and ease, the kind of presence that filled the space without trying. What began as a gentle friendship soon deepened into something neither of them had the courage-or clarity-to name. Late-night calls, inside jokes, brushes of fingers that lasted a moment too long. Their connection grew in the unsaid, in the pauses, in the quiet comfort of knowing someone was always just a message away. But with love that never asked to be defined came heartbreak that never knew when to begin. As life pulled them in different directions, as texts slowed and calls ended before they should have, she held on to the moments-the laughter, the long drives, the unspoken promises.
