"Don't be so conceited. This is not some storybook. Here, people die and are never even mentioned, and only those who make an impact are called heroes. And you, most certainly, are not the latter." Myra grew up on the stories her father told of adventure, magic, and action. The hero even had her name! But as he and time passed, the wonder from those magic times faded. But when one day seems to be the start of an amazing adventure, Myra learns a truth that the stories never taught her: that heroes grow up, and you're not always one of them. *Irregular updates, more on the way though!*

Adrik wished he was living a nightmare. His grandpa just passed away, his parents are getting a divorce, and he has to move to a completely foreign part of the country. At least with nightmares, you get to wake up. Alaska, the Russian America, has a lot more in store for this 17 year old boy than the brochures could ever inform of. With only his mom at his side, he has to battle through his senior year of high school as a stranger. His dad is back in Florida, and the only thing Adrik has to remember his grandfather by are his glasses. However, when Adrik finally takes a glance through these ancient lenses, his whole perspective is going to change. His problems now won't seem to matter at all compared to the problems he will encounter once he takes that first glance. As Rory Bradford, a twenty-four year old woman who had been previously known for her incredible problem solving skills, found herself making the biggest decision of her life, she discovered that she wasn't particularly good at solving her own problems. On one hand, there was the man that she was engaged to; Noah Cadwell, who checked all the boxes on the 'man-of-her-dreams' list. Sadly, as she realized only days before the wedding, they weren't able to connect romantically, their relationship purely platonic from her end. However, this train of thought was only one sided. Noah, being oblivious to the doubts Rory had been having, thought that their wedding was going to be the best day of their lives. Clearly, he was mistaken. On the other hand, there was Sadie Copeland, a co-worker of Rory's at the law firm. She was the complete opposite of Rory. Where Rory loved planning, Sadie lived for spontaneity. She was the opposite of what Rory was looking for, including the fact that she was a woman. So, after feeling a whole new range of emotions and desires with a woman that she had never felt with a man, Rory was forced to reevaluate her sexuality, which she had never allowed herself to question. Rory couldn't help but wonder if she had accidentally found the woman of her dreams. So, when the identity that Rory had previously worn as a badge of honour began to crumble, she became determined to discover who she truly wanted to be. With the help of Sadie, she hoped that she could finally become Rory. [ cover by the talented @queen_of_sass ]

I firmly believe that graduation instills in everyone a feeling of nostalgia. Which is why, as I attempt to find my seat at graduation rehearsal, I find myself stumbling into hidden pockets of memories that had long been shoved into the back of my mind by the stress of high school. Faces will forever be the bookmarks of our lives. Different people take us back to different moments that we would love to relive or rather forget. As we view everyone, we are reminded of who we once were and who we will strive to be. They stir up emotions of love, jealousy, hatred, thankfulness, helplessness as we view how others have grown and often compare their progress to ourselves. Welcome to graduation, the last moments of juvenility, as we look back on our past selves and strive to see the future. ** She has regrets when she looks back at her high school years. She regrets the person she turned into. She regrets that she didn't realize that she didn't want to be that person sooner. She regrets that she didn't become her own person until later. But she doesn't regret the people she met. She doesn't regret the true friends she made. And she can't say that she regrets the memories, however hard they are to relive because in the end, they helped compose the person she is as she walks across the graduation stage. So on the true final day of her high school years, she sees and she remembers. *continuously being updated
