Selama lima belas tahun, Zhang Hao mengorbankan hidupnya demi menjadi sosok sempurna, dibentuk, dididik, dan ditempa sebagai calon Permaisuri Vaelthyria karena potensi besar yang ia miliki. Tanpa sepengetahuan Vaelthyria, Zhang Hao pergi membawa buah cinta yang tumbuh di dalam tubuhnya, seorang anak yang mewarisi bola mata yang sama dan tanda lahir khas penerus tahta Vaelthyria. Takut kehilangan satu-satunya alasan untuk bertahan hidup, Hao memilih menyembunyikan identitas sang anak, demi melindunginya dari istana Vaelthyria yang mungkin akan merebutnya.
