The humanity began to live in that planet, a cradle too big for them. The big problem is that it is inhabited by kaijus(now aptly named after ww1-2 warships), monsters, and the planet is constantly invaded by non sapient savage alien hives, incomprehensible cosmic horrors. The liberators, humanity's new type of soldiers and the very vanguard. John Arpeggio was among them, but now he wander elsewhere in the planet fending off himself from colossal evils, eldritch madness, ruthless monsters, and humans that are jealous of his title "Maverick"
