Seventeen-year-old Jeremiah Davis hates the emptiness in his life. His mother's depressed and his father is too much of a coward to face it. So Jeremiah has decided to never face him again. Instead, he'll face his music. He knows it'll lead him to anywhere he wants: a prestigious arts university, a chance of a lifetime, and most of all, away from Smalls, Surrey (which is so tiny, it's even been taken off the map). But who would've thought it would lead him to love? Lead him to love an obnoxious, sarcastic, foul-mouthed, blue-haired girl, even if he won't admit it? No one would. Especially not Jude Jameson, an obnoxious, sarcastic, foul-mouthed, blue-haired teenager who would much rather spend her time at the local skate park or an alleyway, than anywhere else in the world. And definitely anywhere than in Jeremiah's company. But when an 'incident' occurs at their sixth form, fate throws the two in each other's paths and Jude is forced to take Jeremiah into the world of punk, indie, stressful parents and one-too-many beers. Sitting by the windowsill, Josh decided to take one last look at the pretty brunette, only to find her frozen, already staring at him. But how could she possibly see him? *** I just finished unpacking all of the boxes I had brought into my room earlier. I didn't know why, but I just felt like I was being watched. It didn't feel like a creepy kind of "being watched", but I just felt eyes on me, sometimes. It might just have been from the experience I had earlier with the boy on the windowsill. Who knows? So, I am reading an AMAZING book by the wonderful @kpgcatlover and I just heard that there is a One Shot competition. I jumped on the chance! Here are three entries (that are connected but can be read separately) that I hope you all enjoy!!! The first two are short entries, between 700 and 800 words each (I believe) that feature Mackenzie and Dylan four years after the book takes place.
