Short poem peering into the mind of a strong soul.

"you've never been to Monticello?" "no, where's that?" "girl, that's where he's from" "the land of the gangsters" "you're crazy, gangsters don't exist!" ____ in which a girl meets a boy from a world she never knew existed

Life was sure simple here in Nigeria. Yeah, of course that's an untrue. What I mean is that at least following my daily routine was sure simple, apart from that, life's never easy. ---------------- What happens when Chiamaka Oyinlola Anthony a typical black Nigerian girl wins a scholarship to NY to further her studies. Making it her priority to study till she makes it, would she be able to do so when the school's bad boy has his eyes on her? What happens when she's been bullied by her peers and everyone seems to hate her for who she is? Can she still keep her confidence, boldness and not listen to her haters? What if she doesn't keep her promise to her mom? Bentley Frazier, the baddest boy known in Cambridge-Valley High has his eyes on Chiamaka due to a strange reason no one seems to know of... Is it bad? Good? What does he wants with her and why? Secrets, jealousy, hatred, betrayal, love, regrets, accomplishments, and many more all filled in one journey. Can Chiamaka survive her senior year of high school in NY or she'll rather be back home in Nigeria?

"You're probably one of the typical black guys, who are into mixed girls and non-black girls. No need for me to waste my time" I said shrugging and grabbing my books ready to leave the conversation "Nah baby, you got me all wrong" he replies, a small smile growing on his face showing his white teeth "i love me some dark girls"

I don't write stories. My work is more of a poem inspired style. Just something for melanin appreciation.

A Beautifully Black Black History Month Poem!

Clarification to all white people.

"I love you for who you are not for your looks" he said. "you sure about that, because that's what they all say!" I yelled. then instantly his soft lips pressed against mine and his kiss cleared my mind in seconds. I cant believe I'm falling for this guy, he's just like the rest of them. They must think all black girls will fall for nigga by a kiss well guess what, I'm not that black hoe!! (periodt) (reality TV)

Pretty girl , pretty vibes ✨

Please this is not racist. I just decided to write this poem for black girl out there feeling that they have to look a specific way to be loved

Jason Montgomery had always thought he knew his identity. He thought that those nagging "what ifs" were over now. His life was finally on track, a so called normal. His relationship was finally blossoming and they were ready to take the next step. But that's when he meets a not so special and quite frankly, insecure girl named Wesley Brown.
