Once, there was a human who needed to rant in poetry form, and sometimes story form. They needed a place to put all the thoughts that came from their head. They thought through things by rhyming, or by having multiple characters come out and give advice. Sometimes, though rarely, inspiration would strike and a story would result, and they would feel so proud and want to share. This is a collection of those stories and poems.

Please, Keep The Mustard Seed is an inspirational, coming of age folklore. The main character, Victory "Vic" Cummings, is a young man from Chicago who is attempting to get over a severe job loss. The job loss has left him struggling the way to provide for himself and take care of his fiancé, Faith who is pregnant with his child. Vic has fallen into a near depressive state which frustrates Faith. After Faith challenges him to find himself, Vic reaches out to his Uncle Gabe for assistance. Uncle Gabe, a farmer by trade, offers to help Vic with his financial problems. But, Uncle Gabe's offer has a catch; he requires Vic to perform a dig on his farm to find a mustard seed. While this task seems impossible to Vic, he has to make a decision. Should he complete this task for Uncle Gabe or should he give up and find another way to make ends meet? Little does Vic know, either choice he makes will change his outlook on life. Please, Keep The Mustard Seed is the first of many novels, novellas, and novelettes in my collection of writings. The purpose of this story is to allow readers of all backgrounds to understands the racial, socioeconomic, and generational complexities of masculinities in today's society. It looks at how man should cope with setbacks, failures, societal roles and expectations.

A lot of my poems will probably be triggering...but I guess that is kind of the point. What's the point of a poem if it doesn't trigger you. If I do, then I guess it has done its job to reach whoever needs to reach it. Everything here is completely original and written by me. This poem was inspired and composed while I was in Washington DC at the National Mall site seeing and reading then suddenly I was inspired to write a letter to the nation on how I feel as a black man in America and a gave my opinion on why lower class citizens especially African American/ Hispanic feel the way they do about our government. I am not a poet or politician I'm just expressing my feels, views, and observations through the pin.
