What would it have meant to fight Napoleon in a world where history advanced backwards? And how can we long for something we have never lived? Those were the questions I began to unravel the moment I opened myself step into the Rift - a chaotic realm suspended between space and time, locked in perpetual war, meant to reverberate everything our world forgot that could have been, both for good and disgrace. These are my memories. This is my story. The account of a common soldier, the product of my adventures venturing into rules thought long gone, with the mind of a teenager of our time - torn between friendship, my expectations, fleeting merriment, and a ruthless reality that forced me to see the world through lenses I could never even have dreamed of... Or perhaps I could. Through these tales, philosophy peeks in quietly, for in stories, we often end up meeting ourselves a little better. [A historical fantasy told in memoir style, following Flynn, a sixth-form lad who, by fate and a restless thirst for adventure, finds himself entangled as a cavalry soldier in a mirror world of our own... A realm blackened by an apparently endless war, yet one that echoes techniques we might dare call modern despite its Imperial age, with only his closest friend, Sebastian, as his guide and introducer.] Content warning: depictions of violence and death, slight gore, use of tobacco, drugs and alcohol - as well as historical prejudices.

"Dear Diary...promise me you won't ever fall into the wrong hands." - Signed Alena Rae Golden - Psst...I found this diary and here's a little secret, it isn't mines. It's Alena's. You know, Alena Rae Golden? Haven't you heard of her? No? Well, that is her name. But from what I've read so far, her prescribed medication is what keeps her sane. She started off as a Little brown girl growing up in America, all sweet and beloved, until one day her innocence was tamed. Her pillows are never dry. The tears she's been crying for years, keeps them wet. And ohh, boy! let us not get started on her bed sheets, they are always drenched in sweat, From the nightmares...Night after Night. Everyday her body is constantly in Flight or Fight. The world is not yet ready for her. She's a ticking time bomb, that's is bound to explode any day now. Therapy isn't working. Her medication only works for the moment, and God doesn't seems to be listening. This is her story...Her Diary. Alena's Diary. and it has fallen into the wrong hands. Mine. And the wrong set of eyes. Mine and now Yours.

I just wanted to escape my old life college was my only way out . So what did I do I threw My self through school and made sure my grades were on point for I can get a full scholarship out of the hood. But little did i know what was waiting for me in the real world. "Mama I want to see daddy" i cried out she cried as she held me in her arms and said "me too" as we sat in the hospital as they told us that daddy didn't make it and that's when everything went downhill. My mom threw herself in her work, working multiple shifts to support us.
