In Greytown, nothing is ever black and white. Made up of six districts, The Grey Bayou has always been a place where evil runs rampant and citizens find themselves deprived of justice. And no one knows that better than Kenya Manefield and his family. Returning home from college, Kenya seeks to make things better for his hometown and for those closest to him. He soon finds out, however, that cleaning up his city is a tall order. One that consists of rooting out political corruption, facing sociopathic criminals, and discovering mysteries that are deep-seeded in Greytown AND his family's history. Before he can get any traction going in his mission, Kenya winds up realizing-with almost at a great cost to his life-that conventional methods won't work against the sinister kingpin of Greytown who calls himself The Orca. In order to win, he'll have to take on a more radical approach. One that will catapult him into the realm of the animal kingdom-giving birth to a new superhero-and forever changing Kenya's world as he knows it. For Kenya's father Malcolm, he's been a witness to a mission like this once before, and has no intentions of seeing a second act. But knowing his son, Malcolm won't have a choice but to aid Kenya along the way to keep him alive. Join the highly talented author JOSH HOLSTON on this YA fantasy as he brings forth a new world filled with fantastic characters facing real-life issues that the black culture endures everyday.

Amara has always lived her life under pressure-caught between the expectations of others and the image she shows the world. Strong on the outside but uncertain within, she never imagined that letting someone close could change everything. Then comes Michael. Patient, steady, and unshakably loyal, he sees her in ways no one else ever has. What begins as quiet companionship-walks with her dog Ace, late-night rooftop talks-grows into something deeper: a love that challenges her fears, softens her edges, and asks her to trust in ways she never thought she could. But love isn't simple. Between family complications, public scrutiny, and the secrets they both carry, Amara and Michael must fight for every fragile moment of peace. Together, they learn that love isn't just about grand gestures-it's about staying when it's hard, choosing each other again and again, and believing that even broken hearts can build something whole. Tender, dramatic, and unforgettable, this is a story about vulnerability, healing, and finding home in another person when the world feels too heavy. For anyone who has ever longed for a love that is both gentle and fierce-Amara and Michael's story will stay with you long after the last page.
