A RWBY story [This story picks up in the middle of volume 6 and is a rewrite/alternate ending to the show] Oscar Pine has just officially hit rock bottom. He's learned the truth about Ozpin, and his team is stuck in Argus, unable to go forward. On top of this, Oscar now fears he will lose his very soul to the ancient curse that ties him to Ozpin. But in the midst of his despair, he unexpectedly meets two strangers who just seem to appear in Argus. They have a pretty wild story, that they're not from the world of Remnant, but the only beings Oscar knows of who can leave the world are the gods. They claim they can help him break his curse and perhaps save Remnant. Oscar, out of options, decides to accept their help, and sets in motion a series of impossible events that will cumulate in confronting Salem herself, in her own fortress. Along the way, they recruit unexpected allies such as Winter Schnee, Raven Branwen, Emerald Sustrai, Mercury Black, and many others. They also uncover secrets about Ozpin that even the lamp couldn't show them, and they just might change everything they thought they knew about Remnant. (This story will deviate heavily from canon, including in ships and character deaths, I decided to tell it my own way, and I don't expect it to be everyone's flavor, but I do promise it's interesting. I love RWBY's original concept and did my best to write with that in mind. All canon events before volume 6 are the same, everything after the Argus arc will be slightly different, and everything after Atlas will be my own invention.)

Couldn't fit it all in one book so this is the end of the story. Sit tight, it's a real ride. After the author's note, you'll see I wrote an epilogue in the form of a bonus book of extra stuff I wanted to see more of and couldn't fit in the main book. (The Bonus Book is more like a slice of life style sequel with some action. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but we get a lot more shipping, new roles for the characters, and the fate of Cinder in that story, and some fun OCs so if you want more RWBY content like that, please give it a read. It's shorter but still pretty long and exciting.)

"I will make it my mission..to destroy everything you love." The only time she really felt free was with her friends. Her childhood friend, Sun, knows this and wants nothing more but to see her happy. He even invited her on a trip with his band. She'd just have to make it there first. There are other obstacles on the horizon that want to get in the way. Adam ruled her with an iron fist and leaving with her friends just might be her end. "You aren't going anywhere, Blake..." She'd be safe with them, she just didn't know for how long. "We'll be with you every step of the way, Blake!" So yes, this is a story about running away.
