In January 2020, I lost my father in a traumatic way as he passed while I was performing CPR. As a way to cope, I started to journal. My journal entries quickly turned to poetry, a form of writing that I had no experience in. Over time, my poems have evolved to be about more than my father. I'll start to share them in this book. I believe the works in here are a collaboration between my father and I. Rest in peace SBR. I love you and hope you enjoy this book as much as I enjoy the comfort I get from writing these poems

Abigail lived in her sister's shadow all of her life. She had to live up to her only sister's expectations. She has her own dreams, to study music with the masters, marry on her own time. Her failing body and her sister's marriage held her back. She had to give her mother what she wanted, the perfect marriage. One night, she stumbles upon a man attempting to break into the kitchen through the back door. Victor Gray was accused of a crime he never committed. He left his home of Scotland and came to England, seeking refuge with his sister. When he finds her, he resorts to stealing to help them survive. Once, there was a human who needed to rant in poetry form, and sometimes story form. They needed a place to put all the thoughts that came from their head. They thought through things by rhyming, or by having multiple characters come out and give advice. Sometimes, though rarely, inspiration would strike and a story would result, and they would feel so proud and want to share. This is a collection of those stories and poems.

Being born "the wrong color" can have a bad effect on how you carry out your life. What's there to live for when you have to constantly look over your shoulder or worry about what will happen when you get pulled over? Amina, is a sixteen year old girl who wants to make it out of her neighborhood alive and in one piece. She's also very active in protests and petitions and pretty soon she gets involved with something that puts her livelihood in danger. Tucker, is your average seventeen year old boy who's life has been anything but a piece of cake. He's trying to figure out what to do with his life BUT everything changes with one encounter from the police. He's the what his mom deems the worst thing to be...a black man in America. These two cross paths in the strangest way but will they be able to help one another...or will they be out of time....

So this is the only story not about the New Jersey boys and I'm making this because I'm black and I would like to write something about my race❤️🥺 ALL MELANIN BABYS (boys and girls) NEED TO STAND FOR JUSTICE✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

Some people don't get what I'm saying and I have nothing better to do right now.

I'm always watching people." Emily Greene is a 15-year-old, anti-social, quiet and fearful child. She was pulled out of school at the age of 12, and ever since she has loved windows. When she notices a young girl move in next door, her entire life turns upside down and inside out. She is more confused than ever, and with so many issues at home, Emily is not sure what to do with her life anymore. Her monochrome life turns achromatic, and all because of one girl next door.

After seeing all of the amazing works on Wattpad about the Black Lives Matter movement, I've decided to create my own. This project is going to be a series of posts, essays, and links. I want to focus on everything from police brutality to the Black history we were not taught in school. I'm open to suggestions on what you want to hear from me! Also, I would like to point out that I am a white creator. This means that I could make a mistake or two. Please, call me out if you do catch something that's inaccurate or sounds wrong!
