"The lines we draw to protect ourselves often become the walls that imprison us." [OUR WORLD] 🌸A Nigerian Teen Fiction🌸 16+ [BOOK THREE OF YUNG LIES SERIES] In our world, we're quick to judge people, not knowing what they've been through or who they really are. And often, the ones who judge the loudest are fighting their own battles in silence. Kester's cold and unapproachable demeanor mask a deep-seated pain, while Yasmine's polished facade conceals a suffocating relationship with Zayn Lawal, the school's golden boy and teen star. As Kester's tutor, Yasmine is tasked with helping him salvage his grades by the end of the academic session, but beneath Kester's tough exterior and academic struggles, Yasmine discovers a complex and broken soul that challenges her perceptions. She realizes she doesn't want to let Kester go, not because he's perfect, but because he's imperfectly real. She becomes torn between her loyalty to Zayn and her growing connection to her troubled student. However, when Zayn discovers that Yasmine is tutoring his arch-nemesis, Kester Martinez "the multiracial goat", he's furious. Their relationship becomes increasingly strained, and Yasmine finally finds the courage to leave him. But Zayn's not willing to let go, and this becomes a problem. This is a tale of self-discovery, relationships, and growth, set against the backdrop of Nigerian high school life. Explore the complexities of teenage life, where appearances often hide deeper truths. ONLY AVAILABLE ON MY WATTPAD ACCOUNT. Racism: <noun> prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. I live in a world where people die everyday. Lose their homes, relatives, lives... According to their race. Discrimination, yes that's what it is. Racial discrimination, racial prejudice. Everyday, I'll see one of my relatives get killed right infront of me. Because he/she will try to achieve equality. For our rights in the community. Why can't we live all together and forget that it's only the colour of our skin that makes us different. I have only one objective. Bring justice. But on my long and hurtful journey I met this white guy. Just like all the others. Racist. He tried to kill me. I can't love him!! He's so bad! And he hates me. I can't. He called me trash, ugly cause I'm black. But why do I love him? I'm lost.... *~*~* They deserve. Yes, those black people, those ugly creatures deserve to suffer. They're not meant to live and get served by others. They should be slaves. Not only black people. Even coloured people deserve to suffer. They're not smart. All they know is selling liquor and party on the road. They're lazy. They're not hard working people and then they start talking about that "black lives matter movement" how sad. They should be slaves. I used to think that or let me say I still think that. But right now I don't. Why? Why am I now questioning myself if it's right? I didn't even give a fuck before. But why now. Ever since I met that black girl at Houston, Texas I'm starting to question myself. Racism isn't something bad. You can decide which race you prefer. This feeling isn't right. I should end all this. I should kill her.

This work is to educate those who want to be educated. To Be Educated is a series of essays that strive to spread awareness of the Black Lives Movement and the recent events happening in 2020 America after the death of George Floyd. When you read this work, you will learn about the state of America from a non-political perspective. Topics will include racism, police brutality, white supremacy, and many other topics. Resources will also be provided to help support the BLM movement if you're unable to protest due to Covid-19 or fear of persecution. I will also include spaces at the end of each essay to open for discussion between the readers as well as safe spaces for readers to share their grievances and beliefs. _____ My platform had always focused on spreading awareness of bullying. I believe it is my civic duty to use my platform and my writing to give the black community a voice. I'm not a member of the black community. I'm a person of color, an immigrant, low-income, a first-generation college student. I'm passionate about history and social justice. This work is a contribution to the black community, my black readers, and to any of my readers who wish to learn more about the movement and show their support. Thank you and be safe.
