Seventeen-year-old Ian Morris has three problems: he sees ghosts, his father is basically a mafia boss, and he's been exiled to a middle of nowhere town full of secrets.
Ian's plan is simple-ignore the spirits, ignore the past, and ignore his family completely. He only has one year left of high school, so why bother dealing with anything?
But the town won't let him stay disengaged. Something is wrong here- something dark and tied directly to Ian's seemingly "mundane" life.
As if things couldn't get worse, Ian meets Otoya Michi, an infuriating boy a year older who comes from a long line of spiritualists. Their first meeting had been insignificant, the second one left a bad taste in Ian's mouth. He wants nothing more than to pretend Otoya doesn't exist.
But when buried secrets begin to emerge, Ian's family history turns out to be far more sinister than he ever imagined, his only hope is to begrudgingly turn to Otoya for help.
Can both boys survive until graduation, or will the truth destroy everything they thought was real?
