South Korea, 2026. A society where profanity and hate speech run rampant, both online and offline. Kang Min-joon, a 27-year-old developer, is shocked by an overheard conversation among elementary school students. Despairing at a reality where even children casually use coarse language, he creates an online platform called 'The Garden of Words'.
This place is a sanctuary for people conversing without profanity or derogatory language. Elementary school teacher Lee Seo-yeon begins utilizing the platform at school, while veteran journalist Park Joon-hyuk shines a light on this movement through his columns. Influencer Choi Yoo-na is initially critical but changes her mind after experiencing it firsthand.
But change isn't easy. Ridicule and criticism pour in, and advertisers turn away. Min-joon feels defeated, but with Seo-yeon and his colleagues' support, he rises again. When corporate marketer Kim Tae-soo joins, 'The Garden of Words' reaches a new turning point.
A heartwarming story depicting how respectful language changes relationships, and how relationships change society. A hopeful narrative blending romance, friendship, and faith in change.
