A year after defeating Black Doom, Shadow withdrew from the world, weary of endless battles and attention. Guided by his promise to Maria, he chose a life of solitude, believing his role as the Ultimate Lifeform was to protect the world only when true danger arose. Sonic, unwilling to let him disappear, searched relentlessly. He needed him... Especially now that he was mysteriously cursed. Every night is a nightmare as he lost his speed and became a monster, but he can't let the others know, not when Eggman had seemingly stopped his antics, and they had a chance to live normal lives. When the two are thrown together on a project for an outdated Home-ec course, they'll have to learn to balance each other out and maybe--just maybe--attempt to tolerate each other along the way.

The Royalty on Ice competition goes around once every 5 years. Winner or winners of this event were given a title rare to achieve, but when they do get a hold of it, prizes ranges from worldwide popularity increase with the follow up of 10 million dollars in reward. When Sonic's group were informed of this, they all vowed to be on top, or at the very least, reach the end. The Ice Crown AU was created by me. This AU covers ice skating related activities, such as figure skating, speed skating, and ice dancing.
