In a world of quirks and superheroes, one would hope that those heroes could keep the horrors at bay. But people often forget that heroes are still human, and fail, no matter how powerful.
15 years ago, a slew of kidnappings swept the country of Japan. Children stolen from parks, babies stolen out of their hospital cribs. Over 100,000 missing persons cases are reported annually in Japan, but the vast majority are solved within a short time span. These kidnappings were not solved.
No one knows what happened to those children, those babies, except for the victims themselves and their kidnappers. But one, got away, out of the dark gloom of the laboratories and into the blinding, shining sun. With nothing to call his own, not even a name, just a serial number, and the clothes on his back.
